Our client in Lexington, a business furniture manufacturer, is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician! This opportunity is a long term, contract position offering a competitive pay rate. The Building Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing minor building repairs, completing warehouse and office painting, and performing daily cleaning duties. The ideal candidate will have previous experience maintenance experience, knowledgeable in performing minor carpentry, HVAC, and installation repairs. - Complete office and warehouse painting
- Perform carpentry, pest control, painting, general upkeep and repair, and HVAC maintenance tasks
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
- Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc)
- Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
- Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)

- Proven experience as maintenance technician
- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
- Goal oriented and have basic problem-solving skills
