Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine safe and efficient fabrication methods.
- Select appropriate punches and dies based on material thickness and type.
- Set up tooling, load programs, and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance.
- Assess and maintain tooling condition to ensure safety and precision.
- Inspect parts for accuracy using tools like micrometers, calipers, radius gauges, and fixtures.
- Complete quality checklists and maintain workstation cleanliness (5S standards).
- Follow all established safety rules and procedures.
- Experience working with sheet metal and knowledge of tooling and tool maintenance.
- Strong measurement and mathematical skills, including fractional and decimal conversions.
- Ability to identify material types and gauge specifications.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
