We are now hiring a Press Brake Operator for our client, a custom fabrication company located in Lexington! The responsibilities of this role include the set-up and operation of the Press Brake Machine in order to form parts in accordance with customer specifications. The working schedule of this temporary position is 2nd Shift (3: 30pm-1: 30am), and candidates must be able to train on 1st shift before transitioning to 2nd shift hours. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of brake press experience and be mechanically inclined, and this opportunity offers a pay range of $15.00-$17.00 depending on experience level. Job Functions:
- Obtain work day instructions from Supervisor
- Inspect machine for preventive maintenance purposes
- Set up machine per shop order
- Place part in Brake Press, and perform first part inspection to ensure part conforms to drawing
- Obtain buddy inspection required signature on shop order, and If part is good, mark it as First Piece
- Begin production run, following inspection report
- Complete shop order and send to appropriate department
- Prior to shift end, clean work area, and keep work area organized
- Follow all safety procedures, including wearing required safety equipment: safety glasses, steel-toed boots or shoes

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- At least 3 years of Brake Press set-up and operation experience
- At least 3 years of blueprint reading, and setting up Amada and Cincinnati press brakes experience
- Good math skills
- Experience with calipers, height gauge, tape measure, protracto
- Comfortable with exposure to extreme heat during summer months, and some noise and dust
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements, grasping, holding, finger dexterity, reading, writing, hand/eye coordination, visual inspection, preparing and analyzing figures
- Ability to stand up to 8 hours/day, frequently lift up to 50 lbs., frequently push/pull up to 50 lbs., bend, and occasionally operate forklift
