Key Responsibilities:
Project Accounting Support:
- Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to review and validate project documentation.
- Perform revenue recognition and reconcile customer project billings with actual shipments.
- Monitor project transactions, third-party invoicing, change orders, and returns to ensure accurate financial tracking.
- Prepare weekly shipment reports and monthly financial statements.
- Perform detailed monthly close activities, including project revenue analysis and cut-off review.
- Generate accurate financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for senior leadership.
- Review monthly plant expenses, departmental codes, and inventory positions for accuracy.
- Conduct cost analysis on plant transactions, inventory, and item costs.
- Lead the monthly close process for assigned manufacturing plants, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Oversee weekly cycle counts and ensure alignment with inventory records.
- Support budget preparation and quarterly forecasts at the plant level.
- Travel to plant locations as needed to ensure financial accuracy and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a strong accounting foundation.
- 2–4 years of accounting experience, ideally in cost accounting within a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of automated accounting systems (Oracle preferred) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with plant operations and inventory processes in an industrial setting is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Confidence and sound judgment when handling sensitive financial data.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to solve complex problems.
