Job Description
Candidates for this role must demonstrate proficiency in welding techniques, equipment setup, and adherence to quality standards, and must have their own welding equipment. Previous Welding Experience and/or technical training is required. Level I Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding with precision in vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions
- Set up welding equipment, including wire feed, gas selection, and voltage regulation
- Operate tools like grinders, drills, and cleaning brushes
- Ensure weld quality and maintain mechanical strength on assemblies
- Interpret welding symbols and drawings, ensuring components meet tolerance
- Conduct basic maintenance on welding equipment.
Level II Responsibilities:
- Handle high-pressure, diversified assemblies with advanced welding techniques
- Set up jigs and fixtures to prevent distortion during welding
- Operate auxiliary welding and fabricating equipment (e.g., plasma cutter, drill press)
- Perform non-destructive weld tests and achieve consistent high-quality weld finishes.
- Work independently with no supervision required
Level III Responsibilities:
- Execute complex welding operations on a variety of metals and alloys for precision assemblies
- Plan and layout welding sequences based on blueprints and specifications
- Maximize weld strength while minimizing distortion
- Provide technical guidance and supervision to other welders
- Resolve welding issues and implement corrective actions.
