We are seeking a Plant Floor Supervisor to join our client, a nationally recognized office furniture manufacturer located in High Point! This is a permanent, direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range and benefits package, with a 1st shift (7: 00am-3: 40pm) working schedule and a high potential for overtime. This position will be responsible for overseeing a 60+ employee established operation within this family-owned and operated company. The ideal candidate will have previous supervisory/leadership experience, preferably in the field of furniture manufacturing, and will be comfortable training, motivating and managing department leads and employees. Responsibilities:
- Manage day to day operations of plant - establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving bottlenecks, and overseeing daily production numbers hitting established KPIs
- Train, motivate and manage department leads and employees to accomplish production goals in a timely, safe and cost effective manner
- Maintain a high level of quality by establishing and enforcing control standards
- Coordinate with Human Resources for appropriate staffing levels. Manage hiring, firing, disciplinary actions, training coordination, oversight of time and attendance, efficiency, and yearly reviews for shift operation
- Maintain high safety standards by executing the appropriate safety plans and programs
- Incorporate shop floor organization and plant housekeeping and maintenance to maintain a culture of structure and cleanliness

Requirements:
- Comfortable rolling up sleeves and assisting where needed on the plant floor
- At least 3 years of supervisory/leadership experience (furniture manufacturing preferred)
- Basic computer skills in Windows
