Property Accountant – Commercial Real Estate Accounting
We are seeking a detail-oriented Property Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial real estate assets. This role is responsible for full-cycle property accounting, including financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and tenant-related accounting.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Reconcile bank accounts, tenant ledgers, prepaids, fixed assets, and balance sheet accounts
- Maintain general ledger activity and journal entries
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Process rent rolls, tenant billing, and CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Partner with property managers to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Prepare year-end audit schedules and support external audits
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
- Support and maintain property accounting systems (MRI, Sage 300 CRE, etc.)
- Research and analyze tenant and property-related transactions
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting projects and reporting
- 0–3 years of accounting experience (commercial real estate experience preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with Sage 300 CRE and/or MRI software preferred
- Familiarity with accounting systems, general ledgers, and reconciliations
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (required)
