About the Role

We are seeking a skilled General Maintenance Worker to join our team at a fabrication facility in Kernersville, NC. This position is responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance services and repairs, including troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to maintain and repair welding machines, grinders, and machining centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance tasks including building upkeep, pipefitting, plumbing, carpentry, and equipment repairs.
  • Maintain and repair welding machines, grinders, and machining centers.
  • Operate equipment such as forklifts, lift trucks, cranes, drill presses, cut-off saws, bending and threading machines, and snow removal equipment.
  • Perform welding, painting, cleaning, and other related duties as needed.
  • Safely climb and work from heights up to 80 feet.
  • Read and work from simple prints, specifications, and procedures.
  • Use basic computer skills to document repairs in maintenance software.
  • Assist higher-level maintenance staff as directed.
  • Handle hazardous materials in compliance with site guidelines.
  • Follow all safety and health regulations to maintain a safe workplace.
Minimum Qualifications
  • General knowledge of maintenance procedures and safety measures.
  • Ability to perform tasks that impact workplace health and safety.
  • Familiarity with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Welding experience.
  • Formal training and/or certifications in maintenance or related fields.
  • Experience with LOTO procedures and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical systems.
