Job Description
We have immediate openings for Packaging Associates in Yadkinville working a 12- Hour Nigh Shift (6:30pm-6:30am)! Employees will work Monday- Thursday, with OT on Fridays. No weekend work! These are temp-to-Hire opportunities in a climate-controlled facility. The Packaging Associates will operate packaging machines and ensure quality products are being produced. Responsibilities:
- Operate product packaging machines
- Ensure quality and quantity of packaged goods follows company standards
- Handle start-up and shut-down duties relating to packaging equipment at the beginning and end of each shift
- Check that packaging machines are in working order in accordance with company regulations
- Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks on each packaging order
- Monitor the correct product weights and ensure that they are maintained throughout the shift
- Handle/discard waste that packaging machines produce; in a safe manner
- Monitor packaging machines by using appropriate controls to package different items
- Load and unload items into packaging machines and remove rejected packages
Requirements:
- Must be able to stand for an 12-hour shift
- Good Communication Skills
- Must adhere to all safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements
- Must be flexible to work in all departments throughout the entire shift
- Understanding of production processes and quality control
