Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Production Planner with expertise in cut and sew operations and sock manufacturing to join our dynamic team. This role will collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments and external manufacturing partners to ensure timely execution of production requirements, aligning with company sales goals and inventory targets. This is a critical position focused on the coordination of production planning across multiple retail channels, including replenishment, make-to-order, and direct ship orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and schedule production purchase orders for assigned brands to support forecasted sales and inventory targets.
- Manage internal production timelines in coordination with overseas manufacturing partners to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries.
- Leverage knowledge of cut and sew garment manufacturing and sock production to guide accurate production planning and vendor alignment.
- Collaborate with the Forecasting Team to respond to market trends and sales fluctuations, adjusting production flow proactively.
- Work with the Sourcing Team to match vendor capabilities with production requirements, optimizing supply chain efficiency.
- Partner with the Packaging Team to ensure all packaging specifications are communicated and executed accurately at factory level.
- Coordinate with Distribution Center (DC) teams on production intake, quality concerns, and work order management for excess or discontinued inventory.
- Conduct monthly maintenance of the supply system for planning accuracy.
- Provide production status updates, reporting, and analytics to internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S. preferred).
- 4–6 years of production planning experience in the U.S. retail environment.
- Hands-on experience in cut and sew manufacturing and sock production is required.
- Prior experience managing production for Amazon (5+ years preferred).
- Working knowledge of supply chain and production management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and spreadsheet tools.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Motivated self-starter with a collaborative mindset.
