The Resource is hiring a Customer Service Representative for our client, a leading manufacturer of sports equipment, located in Salisbury, NC! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $16.00 per hour, and has a 1st shift schedule (8:00am-5:00pm). The Customer Service Representative would be responsible for handling an array of front-facing duties and provide optimal problem-solving and organizational skills to contribute to customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates for this role must be able to multi-task and provide customer with product information, pricing, artwork, and resolve any support issues quickly and effectively. The Customer Service Representative will be required to communicate across the organization to provide customer with shipping info, order status, stock availability, etc. If you have a background in customer service and seeking an opportunity to grow in your career, apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Provide the first point of customer contact for inquiries on pricing, product information, shipments, orders, and mock-ups
- Enter orders with correct discounts or special pricing, sales rep, shipping date, and shipping method, etc. (Memory work required as there are no prompts to remind them)
- Receive customers' requests by telephone or email, analyze requests, provide information, or ascertain who can best provide the information and route it to the proper person
- Provide quotes as needed for product as well as shipping costs
- Request mock-ups from Engineering for quotes and order to be approved by the customer
- Prepare and forward preliminary paperwork on returns of lost or damaged goods. Once returned, match up all paperwork, fill out credit request, and turn it over to CSR Manager for approval
Qualifications:
- Must be dependable and punctual; great attendance is a requirement.
- Must be knowledgeable with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word
- Must possess good people and communication skills
- Must demonstrate great listening skills and attention to detail
- Detail-oriented and organized, with a vivid memory
- Good basic math skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to change in a fast-paced office setting.
- Customer service experience is a plus, not required
