Job Opportunity: Warping and Weaving Machine Operator – 3rd Shift | Kernersville, NC
About the Position:
We are seeking a Warping and Weaving Machine Operator for our client, a leading designer and manufacturer of specialty textiles and fabrics. This is a permanent, direct-hire opportunity located in Kernersville, NC, offering a chance to contribute to a premier company in the textiles industry.
Shift Details:
3rd Shift: Candidates will train on 1st Shift for three weeks before transitioning to 3rd Shift operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up warping and weaving machines, including tying in yarn packages, setting up creels, and threading up eye boards and reeds.
- Monitor and verify quality throughout production operations to ensure high standards are maintained.
- Record process parameters at specified intervals and enter process data into the computer system to generate labels.
- Load and unload warp beams; set machine parameters according to weaving data sheets.
- Troubleshoot machine-related issues and resolve defects according to inspection standards.
- Operate automatic tying machines and manually tie in ends as required.
- Follow data sheets for pattern characteristics to ensure accurate weaving.
- Utilize lab equipment such as Instron, yarn reel, twist tester, and other relevant tools to support quality control.
Qualifications:
- Previous machine operating experience, particularly in warping and weaving, is highly preferred.
- Ability to read a ruler and accurately measure materials.
