Job Details:
- Location: Greensboro, NC
- Shift: 1st Shift (Daytime Hours)
- Work Arrangement: Initial on-site training for 3 months, with the possibility of transitioning to a hybrid or remote work schedule based on performance.
- Salary: Starting at $16.00 per hour + performance bonuses and incentives
As a Collection Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Outbound & Inbound Collections: Making outbound calls and handling incoming calls as a third-party agency to collect past-due payments.
- Account Management: Review delinquent accounts, take appropriate collection actions, and maintain accurate records.
- Payment Negotiation: Negotiate payment terms and arrangements with consumers, and follow up on missed payments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, insurance companies, and loan officers when necessary.
- System Utilization: Use the Ontario/Artiva system for account tracking and file maintenance.
- Customer Education: Counsel consumers on credit report impacts and provide solutions for debt clearance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to state and federal laws, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Meet Performance Metrics: Achieve monthly collection quotas and KPIs.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) is a plus.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic proficiency with Windows PC applications; ability to learn new software quickly.
- Experience: Previous call center or customer service experience is a plus, but not required.
- Mathematical Ability: Basic math skills for account management.
