About the Role
As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a key role in processing payroll for over 1,000 employees across multiple pay groups. You’ll work closely with Payroll Specialists to ensure timely and accurate payroll distribution, tax reconciliation, and system maintenance. This position also supports the Payroll Manager with reporting, audits, and compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately process weekly, semi-monthly, and supplemental payrolls using UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) and UKG Workforce Management (formerly Kronos).
- Validate new hire data and manage employee records including salary changes, deductions, PTO balances, and garnishments.
- Balance payroll taxes and process 401(k) contributions.
- Assist with internal and external audits and ad-hoc projects.
- Maintain organized payroll documentation and complete system training as assigned.
- Provide exceptional customer service by resolving payroll-related inquiries efficiently.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of payroll and timekeeping experience.
- Experience with UKG Pro and UKG WFM in high-volume, multi-frequency payroll environments.
- Automotive dealership experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax laws and employment regulations (FLSA, FMLA).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and professional discretion.
