We' re now hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk for our client, a commercial and residential plumbing company, located in Winston-Salem! This position is Temp-to-Hire, with an excellent pay rate and has 1st shift part-time working schedule of (8: 00am - 1: 00pm, Monday- Friday). This role will be responsible for keeping financial records updated, preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. Responsibilities will also include running reports in various programs to process business transactions for accounts payable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. The Accounting Clerk ensures that the company s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively, and the ideal candidate should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have an aptitude for numbers. Essential Functions:
- Set up invoices for payment, enter and upload invoices into system
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Sort, Code and match invoices, enter and upload invoices into system
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Enter daily key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies. Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are not delinquent

Qualifications:
- Proven accounting experience required
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in QuickBooks, invoices, creating spreadsheets and MS Office programs
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Aptitude for numbers, accuracy, and strong attention to detail
- Ability to perform filing and record keeping tasks
- Data entry and word processing skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet required deadlines
