The Bindery Inspector-Operator I is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for operating folder machines and related bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed pharmaceutical literature. Working under general supervision, this role follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to ensure product quality, compliance, and safety.

Position Overview
The Bindery Inspector-Operator I is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for operating folder machines and related bindery equipment to produce high-quality printed pharmaceutical literature. Working under general supervision, this role follows Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) to ensure product quality, compliance, and safety.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform manual and machine-operator duties related to folder machines and bindery equipment
- Conduct line clearance activities between production runs
- Monitor production runs to ensure products meet customer and job specifications
- Inspect work for defects in accordance with SOPs and work instructions
- Read a ruler accurately to 1/64th of an inch
- Correct or replace non-conforming product while monitoring scrap and waste levels
- Troubleshoot machine operations per procedure and perform minor adjustments
- Communicate promptly with technicians regarding unresolved operational issues
- Package finished product according to specifications
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with cGMP requirements
- Keep equipment and work areas clean during operating and non-operating periods
- Support safety initiatives by maintaining a clean, organized workspace and reporting hazards
- Comply with OSHA, environmental, and PPE requirements
- Assist with training and guiding other team members as appropriate
- Perform other duties as reasonably requested
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math and computer skills
- Ability to consistently read a ruler to 1/64th of an inch
