We' re seeking a CNC Machine Operator to join our client, a manufacturer of pool equipment, near Winston-Salem! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with an excellent starting pay rate that will increase based on experience level, and a 2nd shift schedule (3: 00pm-11: 00pm). The CNC Machinist will work in the Tool Room, responsible for all aspects of incoming material, training other on conventional and/or CNC machines, and assisting with fixtures and product improvement. Candidates must be able to set up conventional machines and/or CNC lathes/mills, and must have previous relevant working or educational experience. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate all conventional machines, and CNC lathes/mills
- Basic programming of CNC lathes and/or mills to the job as applied
- Must be familiar with the operation of all machines in the department
- Ability to use measuring instruments and all other quality control devices and instruments to check for conforming parts
- Must have the ability to work out problems when they occur and must have strong knowledge of mathematics, geometry and trigonometry
- Select proper tooling and set up procedures to achieve the best results, based on blueprint specifications
- Assemble and preset tooling for the next job during automated cycles to eliminate wasted time during set ups
- Change any programming errors and/or manual adjustments to make a conforming part under ISO standards
- Responsible for completing daily set up sheets, hourly inspection sheets, indirect labor sheets, reporting scrap and making labels and move tickets as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- 1-year certificate from college or technical school or 2-years of related working experience and/or training
- Must be able to read, comprehend and interpret blueprints, and to read and write simple correspondence and memos
- Ability to present machining information to employees and management of the organization and present information to an auditor for the purpose ISO acceptance
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical interference, fundamentals of plane, solid geometry and trigonometry
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Comfortable lifting and/or moving objects up to 40 pounds
- Lean principles and 5S must be followed to establish a cleaner and safer work environment
- Safety glasses are required when on the plant floor
