We' re now hiring CNC Programmers for our client, the leading global provider of compressed natural gas, propane, and hydrogen fuel systems for commercial vehicles, located in Salisbury! This position has a 2nd shift (2: 30pm-11: 00pm) working schedule and is offering a pay rate of $15.50 per hour! The CNC Programmer is responsible for programming, fabricating, machining, and positioning aluminum and steel parts along with other components. Qualified candidates should have a good understanding of aluminum and steel, and pay close attention to detail. Responsibilities:
- Verifying conformance of materials to specifications using a variety of tools (tape measure, calipers, height gage, etc.)
- Studying drawings, blueprints and/or work instructions to determine material requirements and task sequences
- Cut, bend, and machine parts to meet specifications
- Program CNC Fabrication Equipment (Laser, Press Brake, 3 and 4 axis vertical machines, lathe, tube bender, saw) amongst others using CAM software or G&M Codes
- Setting up, programming, and operating various fabricating machines that are needed to complete the assigned operations
- Prioritize work assignments, duties, and maintain order at all times, including in the absence of the supervisor or team leader
- May layout and examine metals stock or materials to be processed
- Lifting or moving materials using a variety of devices (forklift, crane)
- Wear appropriate (PPE) personal protective equipment as required
- Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment
- Train and guide new employees as needed

Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or training/certificate from trade school
- Programming knowledge of Laser, Press Brake, and other CNC types of equipment
- At least 3-years of related metal forming, machining, and fabrication experience preferably in an automotive or aerospace environment
- Very good understanding of the metals aluminum and steel
- Must know how to use different tools and equipment used in the metals trades (both hand and automatic)
- Previous experience/ability to read blueprints, schematics and work instructions
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
