Commercial Construction Superintendent – High-End Hotel Renovation

Location: Greensboro, NC

Our client is a well-established builder and developer with over 70 years of experience delivering high-quality hospitality, retail, office, industrial, multi-family, and residential construction projects throughout Greensboro, North Carolina. We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead a high-end hotel renovation project. Experience in luxury or hospitality renovations is a plus—but not required for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site leadership and oversight of all labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and project specifications
  • Assist in project scheduling, including timelines, milestones, and material deliveries
  • Coordinate utility installations with local service providers
  • Complete daily field reports and project documentation accurately and on time
  • Manage and inspect subcontractor work to ensure compliance with plans, specs, and quality standards
  • Schedule and track third-party inspections and materials testing
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all subcontracts and purchase orders
  • Lead pre-construction meetings and weekly subcontractor meetings
  • Communicate daily with subcontractors regarding progress, scheduling, and changes
  • Track major material purchase orders and deliveries
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure jobsite at all times
  • Support Project Engineer with RFIs and submittals/shop drawings
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of commercial construction superintendent experience
  • Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and subcontractors effectively
  • Ability to multi-task and meet tight construction deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to build and maintain client and subcontractor relationships
  • OSHA 30 Certification (required)
Preferred Skills & Technology
  • Experience using Autodesk Construction Cloud
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project
  • Prior experience with hotel renovations or hospitality construction projects (preferred)
