Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist in business development duties, gathering market and customer information research to help generate qualified sales leads
- Assist Vice President of Sales on servicing accounts by providing quotes to customers and following up on active projects
- Become proficient with order entry processes and software (El Nino) in order to provide back-up to customer service department, if needed, to ensure customer success
- Maintaining and continue developing relationships with existing customers via meetings, telephone calls, e-mail and periodic travel.
- Assisting in the success of the sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed company targets
- Manage new product requests and liaise with appropriate departments to insure the needs of the customer are met
- Manage checklists and schedules for all new product programs for accounts, as well as work with production scheduler, as needed, to ensure that current customer needs are met
- Manage planning & administrative duties associated with special projects and samples; Assist in the internal planning and development of new products, ensuring that customer time-lines are met; Work with all associated departments to communicate the necessary information for new product launches
- Assist Quality Manager with establishment of appropriate product specifications, through analysis of external engineering standards and/or customer specifications
- Manage, monitor, schedule, maintain and assist Quality Manager on Third Party test requirements, when working with outside labs
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated customer focus and strong desire to meet needs
- Ability to understand and educate customers on technical systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with wide varying time constraints
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, primarily Outlook, Word
- Previous experience in Textile Fibers a plus
- Strong interest in Project Management and Outside Sales
- Ability to develop a plan and follow through
- Strong communication, organizational and management skills
- Experience and proven track record for project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting
- Self-motivated, accountable, responsible, professional, trustworthy
- Ability to create and maintain strong customer relationships with all levels of an organization (up to C-level)
- Willingness to work both independently and in a team environment
