The Resource is hiring a Cycle Counter for our client, an leading global manufacturer of residential and commercial pool supplies, located in Clemmons, NC! This is a contract opportunity that offers $20.00 per hour, and has a 1st shift schedule (6:00am-2:30pm). Candidates for this role must be available for mandatory overtime that could include coming in as early as 5:00am and leaving as late as 3:30pm. Candidates for this role must also be available on Saturdays as needed. The Cycle Counter will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory records within the company. Responsibilities include conducting regular counts of inventory items, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining inventory accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine cycle counts of inventory items according to established schedules and procedures. Utilize various counting techniques and tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency in counting processes
- Record inventory counts accurately in designated systems or databases. Verify and cross-check count results to identify any discrepancies or irregularities
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders such as warehouse personnel, procurement teams, and inventory managers to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Generate reports detailing inventory count results, discrepancies, and any corrective actions taken. Provide regular updates to management regarding inventory accuracy and related metrics
- Continuously assess and improve cycle counting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Make recommendations for system enhancements or procedural changes as needed
- Work closely with other departments, including warehouse operations, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment and accuracy in inventory management processes
- Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to inventory control and management. Maintain a high level of accuracy and integrity in all inventory-related activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certification in inventory management or related field preferred
- Proven experience in inventory control, cycle counting, or related roles within a warehouse or distribution environment preferred
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and software; experience with ERP systems is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in counting and recording inventory data
- Analytical skills to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move inventory items as needed
