The Resource is hiring a Digital Press Operator for our client, a national printing company, located in Greensboro, NC! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $15.00-$18.00 per hour (depending on experience) and has a 2nd shift schedule (4:00pm-2:30am). The Digital Press Operator would be responsible for the operation and upkeep of the digital press and the output of digital print production orders. Ideal candidates for this role should have excellent communication skills, familiarity using graphics applications, and prior experience in manufacturing. Responsibilities: 
- Perform production operations to obtain utmost and ongoing efficiency
- Support ongoing quality improvement processes to ensure all deliverables are produced defect free and aligned with technical specifications
- Follow standard operational procedures and work practices and policies to ensure consistency of output
- Assure customer expectations are met and we are following MPI procedures
- Verify proper material is used per order specification
- Verify colors by matching to customer approved color controls or legacy color controls
- Verify sizing of image
- Basic machine maintenance
- Make periodic color checks per MPI procedures
- Receive verbal or written instructions from Digital Supervisor and communicate back information as needed
- Read and understand production order / job traveler and utilize computer job tracking system
- Set up and run digital machines
- Maintain accurate inventory balances by proper material usage reporting
- Maintain efficiency and quality benchmarks per MPI standards
- Maintain efficiency and quality benchmarks thru proper use of digital press, digital files/rip, vinyl product, established job proofs and time management
- Provide feedback to planning via ECN   
- Request any training required for you to succeed
- Maintain organized and clean work environment    
- Enter recommendations to management for improvements in areas such as personal safety improved product quality better rates and yields, or any other matters that impact shop costs or employee’s health
- Practice safe working habits as detailed in the Company Safety Manual and Employee Handbook
- Do other tasks as directed by a supervisor

Qualifications: 
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Prior experience in manufacturing preferred
- Familiarity using graphics applications similar to Adobe Illustrator, Photo Shop, and print rip soft wares
- Color management experience helpful
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Strong customer orientation, technical skills, detail oriented, strong problem solving, mechanical aptitude, and works well under pressure
