The Resource is recruiting Early Voting Poll Workers for the Forsyth County Board of Elections for the 2024 Election
As a Voting Poll Worker, you will play a crucial role in the democratic process by ensuring that elections are conducted fairly, efficiently, and accurately. You will assist voters at polling places, assisting with the facilitation of the voting process. This role is perfect for those who are civic-minded, detail-oriented, and enjoy working with the public.

Key Responsibilities:
Set Up and Close Polls: Assist in setting up voting machines, signs, and materials before the polls open. Ensure the polling place is organized and accessible. At the end of the day, close down the polling place, including packing up materials and securing voting machines.
Voter Assistance: Greet voters, check them in using the voter registration list, and provide instructions on how to use voting machines or fill out paper ballots. Ensure all voters are treated respectfully and are able to vote in a private and secure manner.
Ballot Management: Distribute ballots to voters, explain the voting process, and collect completed ballots. Ensure that all ballots are properly handled and accounted for.
Maintain Order: Ensure that the polling place remains orderly, and address any issues or disputes that may arise. Enforce rules regarding campaigning and electioneering near the polling place.
Provide Accessibility: Assist voters with disabilities or those who need extra help, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to vote.
Qualifications:
Residency: Must be a resident of Forsyth County and registered to vote in Forsyth County.
Skills: Strong communication skills, attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, and a commitment to impartiality and confidentiality.
Training:
All poll workers must complete a mandatory training session prior to early Voting. This training will cover procedures, voting equipment operation, and voter assistance techniques. Training will take place between Oct 3rd through Oct 15th.
