Job Description
LOCATION: GALLATIN, TN
Our client is the nation's largest manufacturer of steel wire reinforcing products for concrete construction applications. The Resource is currently looking for an Electronic Technician who will be based out the Gallatin, TN location but will travel to various locations as needed. This is a direct hire opportunity. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, trouble shoot, and repair electrical and mechanical systems, apparatus, and electrical/electronic and mechanical components of industrial machinery and equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directs tests and diagnoses of malfunctioning apparatus such as Programmable Logic Control Programs, DC drives, AC drives, and motors.
- Directs the repair and replacement of malfunctioning apparatus.
- Creates and maintains electrical drawings and schematics.
- Provides support for special projects including, but not limited to, component selection controls recommendations, vendor recommendations, and installation.
- Requisitions tools, parts, and equipment as directed.
- Inspects completed work for conformance to drawings, specifications, and safety.
- Maintains maintenance documentation.
- Stays current on developments in the industrial electronics field through continuing education.
Complete, accredited indentured apprenticeship or high school plus 2 years technical college.
A minimum of 3 years work-related experience is preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and work-related experience may be acceptable.
