We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join their team and ensure adherence to our Quality Management System, drive process improvements, and enhance supplier performance.
Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting audits, analyzing non-conformances, and ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards. This role requires collaboration with various teams to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and improve the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System.
- Conduct scheduled compliance and leadership quality audits, providing recommendations for process improvement.
- Analyze process-related non-conformances and drive corrective actions.
- Oversee supplier-related non-conforming parts, ensuring proper disposition and corrective measures.
- Define and document acceptance criteria for manufacturing operations.
- Analyze manufacturing scrap and First Pass Yield Rate data to identify root causes and implement solutions.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement engineering changes and new process validations.
- Improve process controls to enhance product quality and efficiency.
- Work with third-party certification agencies such as UL, CSA, and KEMA for approvals and compliance.
- Provide technical quality guidance to engineers, designers, technicians, and inspectors.
- Interface with vendors, customers, and sales teams for quality assurance and compliance.
- Participate in standards committees representing [Company Name] as required.
- Ensure timely completion of engineering tasks and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Quality).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Engineering.
- Training in Statistical Analysis & Root Cause Failure Analysis Techniques.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System, auditing, and process mapping.
- Experience with supplier controls and quality assurance processes.
- Proficiency in ASCO Business Computer System or similar systems.
- Knowledge of third-party agency approval processes (UL, CSA, IEC) is a plus.
- Ability to travel to company facilities, vendor sites, and customer locations as required.
