Position Overview
We’re hiring a Supplier Quality Engineer (Contractor) to support our client’s Supplier Quality team in Winston-Salem, NC. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented engineer with at least 3 years of experience in quality or supplier quality engineering, preferably in a regulated industry such as medical devices. You’ll play a key role in ensuring incoming materials meet quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve supplier-related quality issues and non-conformances.
- Conduct risk assessments and support root cause analysis for incoming quality control issues.
- Monitor supplier performance and support supplier quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, Operations, and Engineering.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with internal procedures and regulatory standards.
- Adhere to safety protocols and company quality standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field (required).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality roles.
- Familiarity with ISO 13485 and medical device regulations (preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database software applications.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible Hybrid Schedule: Primarily remote with minimal onsite requirements.
