We' re seeking a Building/Facilities Maintenance Technician to join out client, a hospice and palliative care center in Winston-Salem! This is a temporary opportunity that will last at least 2 months and potentially up to 4 months, with 1st shift hours and a pay rate of $15.00-17.00 per hour, depending on experience. The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience and must be trainable on all necessary systems. If you feel you would be a good fit for the duties below, apply today!

- Keep equipment, various systems (including HVAC, lighting, and plumbing), and the building ready for use
- Complete preventive maintenance program and schedules, servicing and troubleshooting malfunctions, maintaining equipment and inventories, and preparing orders for stock as needed
- Assist other staff, patients and families with maintenance needs including answering questions, moving furniture and adjusting beds or wheelchairs, and key control issuance
- Order supplies for facility housekeeping/cleaning as needed
- Ensure the kitchen equipment is maintained per state health regulations
- Assist the housekeeping staff and facility staff with orientation to job duties
- Maintain facility and waste storage area in a continuous condition to comply with state and local health department regulations
- Maintain the building s accessibility and appearance by overseeing mowing and trimming the lawn and maintaining the surrounding landscape
- Remove ice and snow from walkways and parking lot as needed, and keep the grounds free from papers and trash
- Work with building owners/management companies to resolve maintenance and other issues in all remote locations

- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing and HVAC is a plus
- Willingness to inspect and evaluate all mechanical aspects of the building
- Comfortable climbing heights, lifting up to 60 lbs. And climbing onto ladders as needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to use common tools, and lawn mowing equipment
- Ability to understand and follow directions as given and to work with minimal supervision
