Job Description

Job Title: Fabrication Machine Operator

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Machine Operator to set up and operate fabrication machines, ensuring the production of high-quality units. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Previous experience operating a Finn 3 Punch Press preferred but not required.

Essential Functions:
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and comprehend blueprints and manufacturing instructions to ensure accurate production.
  • Fabrication Operations: Perform pem, tap, and radius operations while identifying and verifying parts.
  • Material Handling: Transfer materials efficiently and run previously set turret or brake presses at required rates.
  • Machine Setup: Set up and operate fabrication machines (turrets, brake, Cincinnati) to meet production goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain high quality in all units produced, adhering to company standards.
  • Production Support: Collaborate with the team to support manufacturing production and meet customer demands.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Provide suggestions for product improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Assist with heavy lifting as required.
Interactions:

Work collaboratively as a team player within the work cell, promptly advising the supervisor of any quality or safety issues.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Basic math skills for calculations.
  • Prior Punch Press Machine Operation Experience.
  • Previous experience with a Finn 3 Punch Press preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
  • Understanding of World Class manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Forklift Operator license preferred.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • One year of fabrication experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with shop math and blueprint reading.
  • Knowledge of cabinet fabrication is advantageous.
