Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fabrication Machine Operator to set up and operate fabrication machines, ensuring the production of high-quality units. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. Previous experience operating a Finn 3 Punch Press preferred but not required.
Essential Functions:
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and comprehend blueprints and manufacturing instructions to ensure accurate production.
- Fabrication Operations: Perform pem, tap, and radius operations while identifying and verifying parts.
- Material Handling: Transfer materials efficiently and run previously set turret or brake presses at required rates.
- Machine Setup: Set up and operate fabrication machines (turrets, brake, Cincinnati) to meet production goals.
- Quality Assurance: Maintain high quality in all units produced, adhering to company standards.
- Production Support: Collaborate with the team to support manufacturing production and meet customer demands.
- Provide suggestions for product improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Assist with heavy lifting as required.
Work collaboratively as a team player within the work cell, promptly advising the supervisor of any quality or safety issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic math skills for calculations.
- Prior Punch Press Machine Operation Experience.
- Previous experience with a Finn 3 Punch Press preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions.
- Understanding of World Class manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Forklift Operator license preferred.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- One year of fabrication experience preferred.
- Familiarity with shop math and blueprint reading.
- Knowledge of cabinet fabrication is advantageous.
