Job Description
The Resource is hiring a General machine Operator for our client, a commercial printing company, located in Browns Summit, NC! This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a starting pay rate between $16.00- $20.00 per hour. The General Machine Operator would be responsible for continually monitoring and maintaining the production equipment and machinery, setting up and operating equipment, and overseeing and training new machine operators. Ideal candidates for this role should have effective communication skills and have strong attention to detail in identifying issues with machines as well as products. Responsibilities:
- Continually monitor and maintain the production equipment and machinery
- Setting up and operating equipment
- Overseeing training of new Machine Operators
- Performing routine inspections of equipment and machinery
- Evaluating the efficiency of each unit regularly, identifying improvements as needed
- Set up and operate assigned machine
- Flag non-conforming product based on computer and visual inspection
- Follows quality standards, maintains close tolerances, performs quality checks and enters QNCR’s (Quality Non-Conformance) into software system
Qualifications:
- High School diploma/GED required
- Knowledge of basic math and computer keyboard skills
- Effective communication skills
- Attention to detail in identifying issues with machines as well as product
- Ability to walk, stand, bend or reach for 12 hours
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly
- Ability to work any shift (days, evenings, or nights)
- Must be able to adhere to stringent security and safety rules
