Job Description
We're now hiring a Glass Production Worker for our client, a glass and translucent material manufacturer, located in Kernersville, NC! This is a permanent, Direct Hire opportunity offering a pay rate of $16.50 per hour, with a 2nd shift working schedule. (Monday-Friday with overtime on Saturdays as required). Production Workers are responsible for performing activities associated with the production of glass and aluminum systems, including operation of a variety of machines to manufacture parts for customers. Ideal candidates will have previous production experience and a demonstrated ability to perform jobs to client and quality specifications. Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Ability to layout, build and assemble projects
- Analyze and resolve work problems
- Complete jobs/projects on-time, under budget and at 100% quality
- Demonstrate the ability to perform job to specifications
- Use quality tools to verify conformance of material to specifications
- Inspect and measure parts to verify and enforce quality conformance
- Inspect product for blemishes or non-conformities
- Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are followed
- Ensure all protective equipment (guards, PPE - including respirator, dust masks, etc.) are used at each step of the job
- Ensure job is documented
- Ensure quality is 100% each step of the fabrication process
- Interface with others in the organization to ensure customer deadlines are met
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Ability to work overtime hours to perform essential functions
- Perform special projects, other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Provide suggestions and feedback for continuous process improvement
- Rework products which fail to meet quality standards
- Verify conformance of finished work piece to specifications
