Assembler – Manufacturing
Position Overview
The Assembler is responsible for building high?quality products within a cellular manufacturing environment. Products may include filters, pumps, lights, chlorinators, and other pool support equipment. Once assembled, products are properly packaged, labeled, and prepared for transfer to the warehouse. Key Responsibilities
Major Tasks & Duties
- Assemble a variety of pool support products according to work instructions
- Perform basic testing on assembled products, as required
- Prepare cartons, seal, mark, and label finished products
- Insert protective packing materials to ensure product safety during transport
- Meet established efficiency and production rate standards
- Ensure all products meet required quality specifications
- Work safely and comply with all safety rules and guidelines
- Maintain clean and organized workstations within the manufacturing cell
- Ability to read a limited number of two? and three?syllable words
- Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and number sequences
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two?digit numbers
- Ability to multiply and divide using 10s and 100s
- Ability to perform basic calculations involving U.S. currency, weight, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common?sense understanding to follow simple one? or two?step instructions
- Ability to work with standardized processes with limited variation
- Strong hand?eye coordination is essential
