We are actively seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our family-operated client in Lexington, NC! This is a permanent, Direct Hire opportunity to join a company that is one of the oldest of its kind in America, with an 8: 00am-5: 00pm working schedule and a competitive salary range and benefits package. The HR Manager is a hands-on leadership role which manages the daily HR functions and provides comprehensive HR support to the company. The primary responsibilities of this position involve recruiting/hiring/retention, administration of HR policies and programs, talent management, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and training and development. This position serves as a business partner to other members of management in developing and implementing programs and initiatives that support and enable the organization s growth goals and strategies. Qualified candidates will have at least seven years of Human Resources Generalist experience, and possess strong leadership skills. Responsibilities:
- Utilize various recruiting strategies to attract quality candidates for open positions
- Participate in the interviewing and selection process to build the Company s talent network, and partner with staffing agencies to coordinate temporary staffing needs
- Conduct new hire orientation and follow-up in an effort to maximize retention
- Coach employees and managers on performance management and execution of performance improvement plans
- Facilitate salary administration
- Assist with roll-out and facilitation of performance management process, and partner with other leaders to develop job descriptions for open positions or position re-evaluations
- Effectively and efficiently support senior management with projects such as benefits open enrollment, introduction of benefits programs, employee engagement surveys, launching new initiatives, and the planning/coordination of events/activities
- Respond to all employee relations issues
- Manage hourly and exempt payroll process, and complete weekly reporting as related to payroll
- Manage plant safety and worker s compensation program
- Create various reports and data collection
- Manage employee uniform program
- Manage employee FMLA program
- Help ensure the company maintains high standards as they pertain to Food Safety, Legality, and Quality
- Other reasonable duties as assigned

Requirements:
- At least 7 years of Human Resources Generalist experience
- Strong leadership, facilitation and project management skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally with all levels of employees and management
- Strong knowledge of HR policies and practices, compensation and benefits, organization change and effectiveness
- Strong knowledge of wage and hour, ADA, FMLA and other legal issues as it relates to employment
- Bachelor s Degree in Human Resources or related field is preferred
- Ability to work independently with little supervision
