Job Title: Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer

Location: Welcome, NC

Job Summary: Join our Clients innovative team as a Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Engineer! In this pivotal role, you will support the implementation of our MES across production areas and actively participate in the design reviews for processes requiring MES deployment. You’ll lead the integration of system design software and ensure effective data collection and retention at every step. Your expertise will drive advancements in automation, robotics, and industrial computing, keeping us at the forefront of technology.
Essential Functions:
  • Innovate: Design standalone and web-based automated solutions tailored for diverse processes across various functional areas.
  • Automate: Ensure the automation and connectivity of manufacturing processes, aligning with SPS principles.
  • Document & Train: Develop comprehensive software and process documentation; train end users to ensure seamless operation.
  • Migrate & Upgrade: Transform existing digital tools into a robust software platform, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Analyze & Improve: Conduct regular failure analyses on software and equipment to implement cost-effective reliability improvements.
  • Coordinate: Prepare procurement documentation, including specifications for equipment and software, and manage upgrades and installations with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate IT network infrastructure with existing and new systems.
  • Adapt & Learn: Stay ahead of emerging technologies in AI and robotics, applying your findings to enhance our processes.
  • Promote Excellence: Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and consensus building.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in IT engineering or related fields, preferably in a production environment.
  • Skills: Proficiency in at least two high-level programming languages; experience with PLC programming (Arduino) and sensor integration is a plus.
  • Networking Knowledge: Strong background in wireless networking and network security.
  • Communication: Well-developed oral and written communication skills; Spanish speaker preferred.
  • Documentation: Ability to develop and accurately document processes and source code.
  • Technical Acumen: Familiarity with SQL, PHP, and C programming; ability to read electrical and electronic circuit diagrams, product specs, and BOMs.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
  • Tech Savvy: Knowledge of Android OS is a plus.
