The Resource is hiring an Interior Designer for our client, commercial interior design company, located in Winston-Salem, NC! This independent company is focused on growth in the healthcare and higher education sectors. This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a competitive starting salary and has a 1st shift working schedule (8:30am-5:30pm). The Interior Designer would be responsible for serving as the lead designer and project manager for assigned client projects. Duties will also include interfacing with clients and produce interior design deliverables from initiation through project completion and ensuring all assigned projects meet productivity and company expectations. Ideal candidates for this role should have an educational background in Interior Design or Interior Architecture and experience working on and leading commercial interior design projects. Responsibilities: 
 - Serve as lead designer for assigned projects
- Develop design concepts and presentations for clients
- Create schematic design, design development and construction documents, including, but not limited to, elevations and millwork details
- Conduct on-site field measurements, develop as-built plans, and document existing building conditions
- Develop interior finish packages
- Select and specify furniture and upholstery
- Develop budgets for furniture, accessories, lighting, and finishes
- Perform project administration services
- Represent company designs when working with architects, engineers, general contractors, other external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
- Maintain client business relationships
- Maintain resource library organization when using for project work

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture – BS / BA / BFA Requisites
- NCIDQ certified
- LEED certification preferred
- 5+ years’ experience working on and leading commercial interior design projects for healthcare, higher education, hospitality, corporate, multi-family, and/or senior living sectors
- 5+ years’ experience working with contract furniture Diversity
- Strong interior design process understanding and deliverables
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficient in AutoCAD, including ability to develop millwork elevations and details, finish schedules and legends, finish plans, and formatting standards
- Proficient in Revit 2020 or newer
- Strong in Google Sketch Up or other 3D rendering program
- Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, and Teams
- Desire to learn new technologies and collaborate with the Design Director on a cohesive technology plan
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong time management, organization, and prioritization skills
- Thrive in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Professional or Associate IIDA member
- Proficiency in cloud-based BIM coordination (preferred skill)
