Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Supervisor to lead our cycle counting team and ensure inventory accuracy. This role requires a strategic mindset to analyze discrepancies and drive continuous improvements in inventory management. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead daily inventory operations, proactively addressing discrepancies.
- Direct and support cycle counters, analysts, and document control personnel.
- Collaborate with other supervisors to resolve inventory-related issues promptly.
- Train, mentor, and motivate employees to achieve inventory objectives.
- Provide monthly reports on inventory and cycle count results to management.
- Conduct employee performance appraisals and recommend promotions or assignments.
- Maintain a safe work environment, investigate accidents, and implement preventive measures.
- Review and manage quarterly excess and obsolete inventory, reporting to accounting.
- Plan and execute the annual physical inventory and reconciliation process.
- Oversee the Cycle Count Program to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Process inventory transactions related to special requests and adjustments.
- Manage material phase-in/phase-out transitions and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Perform inventory audits and enforce standard operating procedures.
- Work closely with procurement and production teams to align inventory counts with business needs.
- Utilize software tools to analyze inventory trends and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- 1+ years of supervisory experience in inventory control or related fields.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficiency in JDE system and inventory management best practices.
- Strong knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM), transaction management, and inventory processes.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with safety, quality, and manufacturing operations is a plus.
