Accounting & Administrative Assistant

- Perform AR/AP data entry, excel work, and invoice management, ensuring high levels of accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor job costings and manage the raising of purchases for required supplies, tracking them on an in/out basis
- Assist in the coordination and scheduling of meetings, preparing materials, and ensuring equipment availability
- Support team members with email correspondence, answering phone calls, and providing general office assistance
- Contribute to project management tasks, including planning, implementation, and monitoring
- Maintain organized filing systems and uphold confidentiality of sensitive information
- Prepare presentations and reports using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) with a strong emphasis on Excel for financial data analysis
- Exhibit a proactive approach to learning new skills and software, with a willingness to embrace company procedures and improve efficiency.
- High school diploma required; further education or certification in office administration or accounting is a plus
- Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial reporting and data analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively interacting with all levels of staff and clients
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and an ability to work under pressure
- High attention to detail and accuracy, with an accounting background or knowledge of ledgers preferred
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities
- A strong desire to learn, trainable, with the ability to quickly grasp new concepts and tools.
