Join Our Team as a Lab Technician in Kernersville, NC!

Are you ready to take your skills to the next level in a cutting-edge lab environment? We’re hiring a Lab Technician for our client, a leading finishing materials supplier, at their Kernersville, NC facility. This is a Temp-to-Hire position offering a competitive starting pay rate with a 3rd shift schedule (12:00 AM - 8:00 AM). Start your journey with 4-6 weeks of training on 1st shift before transitioning to the 3rd shift. Excellent entry-level opportunity requiring only 6 months of previous experience.  

What You’ll Do:

Perform Critical Testing: Conduct tests on incoming, finished, and coated fabrics according to stringent specifications and customer requirements.
Accurate Reporting: Document test results meticulously on lab forms within established timeframes.
Equipment Operation: Verify and operate advanced lab equipment, including Instron machines.
Specialized Testing: Carry out special tests as directed by Lab and QA Managers.
Quality Control: Test incoming product mixes according to batch cards and maintain high standards of quality.
Safety First: Maintain a clean and safe work environment, familiarizing yourself with fire extinguishers, chemical spill protocols, and safety equipment.
Versatility: Cross-train in other areas to remain productive during low-volume periods.

What You Bring:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in data entry into statistical quality control software, with basic math and reading skills. 
Physical Ability: Comfort with walking, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 30 lbs throughout the shift.
