Job Description
We're hiring Laminator Operators for our client, a finishing materials supplier, located in Kernersville, NC! This opportunity is Temp-to-Hire, offers a pay rate of $17.00 per hour, and has a 12-hour night shift working schedule (6:00pm- 6:00am). Responsibilities for this role include loading rolls to be coated and laminated, setting up machinery, processing specs, inspecting fabrics, and documenting and reporting production issues. Candidates for this role must be comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and bending throughout the shift. If you have previous machine operating experience and ready to make a career move, apply today!
Responsibilities:
- Work in a safe manner at all times
- Load rolls to be coated and laminated
- Read process specs and set up machine accordingly, and ensure hot cans are clean
- Documents and reports any uncoated and coated fabric off quality
- Complete computer transactions and tracking records
- Maintain proper housekeeping to insure a safe, orderly work area
- Document changes in machine settings in process checklist
- Ensure materials are in place and properly staged
- Use rags, scrapers, and solvent to clean rubber rolls and machine
- Inspect fabric for quality defects, notify shift manager or supervisor if necessary
- Fill out production and downtime reports accurately, and complete process checksheets
- Cut swatches for lab testing as indicated per process specification
- Keep sufficient chemicals for coating and laminating purposes
- Properly ticket and wrap each roll processed
- Other duties as assigned by Shift Finishing Manager
- Will be cross-trained in at least one other area to remain productive during low volume period
