The Resource is seeking a Laser Operator for our client, a fabrication supplier of engineering, services and manufacturing solutions, located in Welcome, NC! This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $19.83 and has a 3rd shift schedule (10:30pm-7:00am, Sunday-Thursday). The Laser Operator would be responsible for inspecting machine for maintenance purposes, operating the laser machines, and completing shop orders. Responsibilities:
- Meet with supervisor to obtain work day instructions
- Inspect machine for preventive maintenance purposes
- Operate laser to cut parts
- Perform “first part inspection” to ensure part conforms to drawing an sign shop order
- Begin production run, following inspection report
- Count parts to ensure accurate production as per shop order
- Complete shop order and send to appropriate department
- Ensure delivery of quality products and services to internal and external customers
- When necessary, employee has authority to stop the process to ensure quality is delivered
- Prior to shift end, clean work area
- Follow all safety procedures
- Wear required safety equipment: safety glasses, steel-toed boots or shoes
- Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Shear operation experience preferred
- Blueprint reading experience preferred
- Experience with calipers, tape measure, mics
