Job Summary:

Are you an experienced MIG Welder looking for a great opportunity? We are seeking a skilled MIG Welder to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing and fabrication environment. In this role, you will operate MIG welding equipment to assemble metal components according to blueprints and job specifications, ensuring high-quality welds that meet structural and dimensional standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Workpiece Preparation:
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine specifications.
  • Prepare workpieces by cleaning, degreasing, and positioning materials for welding.
Equipment Setup & Adjustment:
  • Set up MIG welding equipment, selecting the correct wire, gas, and voltage settings for material type and thickness.
  • Adjust welding parameters, including wire feed speed and travel speed, to ensure strong, clean welds.
Welding Operations:
  • Perform MIG welding to join metal parts, maintaining proper torch angle, arc length, and technique.
  • Monitor weld quality, identifying and correcting defects such as porosity, undercut, or incomplete fusion.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect welded joints using measuring tools and gauges to verify accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Repair or rework welds that do not meet quality standards.
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and job specifications.
  • Strong understanding of welding processes, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
