We are seeking dedicated and detail-oriented General Machine Operators to join our growing manufacturing team. As a General Machine Operator, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality production and machine efficiency. Job Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Adhere to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and other safety measures.
- Quality Control: Conduct frequent quality inspections to ensure each product meets our high standards.
- Machine Operation: Operate various machines, including dovetail, rip saw, bottom groove, boring, edge band, and more.
- Set Production Schedule: Follow the set production schedule to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Equipment Set-Up & Adjustment: Set up and make adjustments to machinery to meet production requirements.
- Material Handling: Safely load and unload materials for machine operation.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate production logs and complete all necessary paperwork.
- Productivity: Meet or exceed parts-per-hour targets as specified by production standards.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain high attention to detail to ensure quality and precision in all aspects of the job.
- Reliability: Demonstrate excellent attendance, including adhering to scheduled breaks and lunch periods.
- Teamwork: Foster a positive and cooperative team environment through effective communication and collaboration.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Experience in wood manufacturing or related industries is preferred but not required.
- Measuring Skills: Ability to read a tape measure in millimeters and understand dimensional tolerances.
- Attention to Detail: A strong commitment to producing high-quality work with minimal defects.
- Efficiency: Excellent time management skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move materials, stand for extended periods, and perform other physical tasks as required.
