We' re seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians to join our client, a global leader in aluminum engineering, manufacturing and innovation, at their facility in Salisbury, NC! This is a permanent, Direct Hire opportunity with a competitive salary and benefits package. The Industrial Maintenance Technician will perform mechanical duties under general supervision, working with a high degree of independence. Utilizing skill acquired through experience and technical training on corrective actions and procedures in repairing and installing equipment and utilities, and testing and servicing mechanical equipment and utilities. Candidates must meet specific performance standards to complete assigned tasks, and the ideal candidate will have previous experience in a maintenance technician or mechanic position. - Keep work area, tools and equipment clean and orderly
- Work with other craftsmen to coordinate the moving, changing, or placing of materials, parts, and supplies used in installing, repairing, or servicing equipment and utilities
- Teach, and lead others craftsmen in servicing and installing equipment
- Analyze and make independent decisions in taking corrective measures to eliminate problems and malfunctions
- Install, troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance on equipment
- Maintain rotating machinery and other complex equipment
- Read, interpret and perform work from blueprints, diagrams and verbal instructions
- Stay abreast of new or revised mechanical standards and developments
- Compile written report on malfunction investigation and/or corrective action taken on equipment
- Recommend substitutes and replacements for equipment not in stock or to improve and upgrade equipment
- Respond to emergency call-ins and perform emergency work when requested
- Use and care for hand and power tools in accordance with safety and good operating practices
- Perform other maintenance duties as assigned or requested

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certificate from a secondary technical or vocational school, or 3-6 years of related experience and/or training
- Perform assigned Mechanic duties according to Maintenance Department practices
- Ensure daily tasks are completed in time allotted, and in compliance with established practices
- Ensure safety rules are followed
- Follow established guidelines in relation to attendance, breaks, on call responsibilities, and company policy
- Report machinery, safety or personnel issues with supervisor
- Determine nature of machinery malfunction or breakdown, and advise supervisor to arrange repairs as necessary.
- Recognize safety hazards or unsafe activities of other personnel, and report for review
- Recognize misuse, theft or damage of company property and report such to supervisor
- Support and participate in open communication between supervision and fellow employees
- Secure necessary supplies to perform assigned duties
