The Resource is assisting our client, a leading hardware manufacturer, in their search to add a Maintenance Technician to their team. This is a permanent, Direct-Hire position located in Kernersville, NC, that offers a starting pay rate of $26.00 per hour. This opportunity has a 2nd shift working schedule of 3:30 pm to 2:00 am (Monday – Thursday). The Maintenance Technician would be responsible for maintaining and repairing facilities equipment and performing preventative maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a wide range of skills including maintenance on industrial equipment as well as facilities maintenance on security systems, fire panels, and HVAC equipment. Responsibilities:
- Provides support to the Maintenance department by performing standard preventative maintenance procedures and techniques applied to diagnose, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, and control systems
- Maintain and repair facilities and equipment. These duties include but are not limited to: Facility upkeep (painting, carpentry, drywall repairs, plumbing, electrical work, and troubleshooting not to exceed 600v)
- Mechanical repairs, welding, and metal fabrication
- Maintenance and repair of automated conveyor, motive equipment, automatic guided vehicles, HVAC systems, fire protection systems, intrusion systems
- Preventive maintenance procedures
- Demonstrate a Continuous Improvement mindset – through participation in events and activities that lead to financial gain, time savings, and/or waste reduction for the business.


Qualifications: 
- Associate degree in industrial maintenance field or equivalent Trade School Certifications
- Two or more years of maintenance employment experience in an automated distribution environment, industrial electronics background, industrial control circuit troubleshooting and repair involving automated conveyor
- Experience working with Security Systems, Fire Panels and Sprinkler Systems
- Basic digital literacy, including MS Office with the ability to navigate through software, internet, etc
- Knowledge of Maintenance Connection Software is a plus
- Forklift Certification is required
- Must be able to successfully complete OSHA-required training
- HVAC Certification preferred
- Candidate must provide own tools - hand tools (metric up to 18MM and standard up 3/4") along with a digital multimeter up to 600VAC.
