Job Description
The Resource is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our healthcare client located in Winston-Salem, NC! This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity that offers a pay rate of $18.00 per hour, and has a 1st shift working schedule (7:00am-4:00pm). The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment. Ideal candidates for this role should have basic knowledge in reading and understanding blueprints and electrical schematics. Responsibilities & Qualifications:
- Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing
- Knowledgeable use of a variety of power tools and hand tools
- Ability to interact with individuals of all authorities
- Basic knowledge of principle design, operation and repair of all types of mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC equipment
- Basic knowledge of building codes, electrical codes, fire codes, and the Joint commission standards for Environment of Care
- Basic knowledge in reading and understanding blueprints and electrical schematics
- May require the use of safety equipment, such as HEPA mask for infection prevention
- On call responsibilities as directed
- Ability to travel between campus buildings, remote facilities, and out of town as needed
