Job Description
We're now hiring Maintenance Technicians for our client in Yadkinville, NC! These are permanent, Direct Hire opportunities working 6:00pm-6:00am with a salary range of $25.00-30.00 per hour. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for planning and implementing the installation, modification, and repair of facility equipment, and ensuring the correct operation of all machinery & electrical equipment. The ideal candidate will have previous experience handling waste water, compressors, chillers, boilers or silos in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement installation, modification, and repair equipment
- Ensure operation of machinery and electrical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Locate sources of problems by observing electrical devices in operation and measuring and testing instruments
- Remove defective parts by dismantling devices
- Adjust functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
- Control downtime by informing workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques
- Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders and verifying receipt
- Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules, regulations & GMPs for facility
Qualifications:
- At least 3-5 years of general maintenance experience in a commercial environment
- Self-motivated, hands-on equipment maintenance technician
- Demonstrated Organizational Skills
- Good Math Skills
- Knowledge about AC/DC Drives
- Experience with PLCs is Preferred
- Certified in Lockout/Tagout Procedures
- Reading/Comprehension Abilities
- Ability to Work Independently
- Ability to Identify Problems and Respond Accordingly
