2nd Shift Fabrication Operator
Location: Welcome NC
Pay: $20.75
Shift: 2nd Shift (Training on 1st Shift for 2–3 months)
Important Note for Applicants
This position requires training on 1st shift for approximately 2–3 months before moving to the permanent 2nd shift schedule. New starts every Monday, so don’t wait to apply if you are interested.
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Fabrication Operator to set up and run fabrication machinery to produce high-quality parts and units. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, understands manufacturing processes, and can maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions
- Read and interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions
- Perform pem, tap, and radius operations
- Accurately identify and verify parts
- Transfer raw materials and completed components
- Operate a previously set turret press or brake press
- Set up and run fabrication machines (turrets, brake, Cincinnati) at required production rates
- Ensure all units meet quality standards
- Support overall production goals and customer requirements
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide suggestions for product or process improvements
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed
- Work closely with team members within the work cell
- Communicate quality or safety concerns to the supervisor
- Contribute positively to a collaborative, team-oriented environment
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and manufacturing instructions
- Understanding of World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles is desirable
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of fabrication experience preferred
- Ability to perform simple shop math
- Suggested knowledge of cabinet fabrication
