Job Description


The Resource is hiring a Manufacturing Superintendent for our client, a manufacturing company specializing in the converting and fabrication of diverse materials, located in Greensboro, NC! This is a permanent, Direct-Hire opportunity that offers a salary range of $85,000- $90,000 per year (depending on experience) and has a 1st shift schedule.  The Manufacturing Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the manufacturing process within the plant. This includes ensuring production efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of supervisors and operators. The Superintendent will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing resources, and achieving production targets while ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. Responsibilities:
- Direct and supervise the activities of manufacturing supervisors and production staff
- Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
- Provide training, development, and performance evaluations for team members
- Plan and coordinate daily production schedules to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Monitor and adjust production processes to ensure efficiency and quality standards
- Implement and manage production metrics, KPIs, and reporting systems.
- Ensure all products meet established quality standards and customer specifications
- Collaborate with the quality assurance team to identify and address any quality issues
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for any quality deviations
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste
- Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies
- Manage resources effectively, including labor, materials, and equipment
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimal downtime
- Oversee inventory management and supply chain activities.
- Maintain open and effective communication with all departments, including engineering, maintenance, and quality assurance
- Serve as a key point of contact for any production-related issues or inquiries.
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings and projects.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around the production floor for extended periods
