We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Training Engineer to join our team in Welcome, North Carolina. In this critical role, you’ll provide hands-on engineering support and develop training programs that enhance operator certification and promote process improvements. This position plays a key role in ensuring our team works safely, efficiently, and produces top-quality products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the training, evaluation, and certification of production staff
- Create and maintain Work Instructions (WIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across all departments
- Manage and update training databases and documentation in compliance with ISO standards
- Develop training materials and coordinate training schedules that align with production needs
- Read and interpret schematics, data sheets, and assembly/process drawings to support troubleshooting and equipment testing
- Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives, quality enhancements, and cost reduction efforts
- Support Manufacturing Engineers in updating processes, including writing change orders and deviations
- Promote and enforce safe practices in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (BSME/BSEE) or equivalent hands-on experience in a training-focused role
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment is a strong plus
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to assess employee progress and provide clear guidance
- Effective communicator across all levels of the organization—both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable leading training sessions, small groups, and one-on-one development
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
