Job Description

We're now hiring Material Handlers for our client, a metal fabrication company located in Welcome, NC! These are a Temp-to-Hire opportunities with openings on 3rd shift (10:30pm-7:00am), and offers a pay rate of $17.20 per hour. The material handler will support the fabrication department be responsible for the movement of production material from one location/process to another, performing light assembly duties of various parts, picking and packing parts, checking inventory levels, and operating a stand-up forklift. Responsibilities:
- Perform light assembly duties of various parts
- Pick and pack parts to be shipped
- Verify and check orders, inventory levels and stocking locations
- Prepare and process documentation for shipments
- Perform JD Edwards Computer Transactions For Put-Away, Transfers, Etc
- Perform Cycle Counts As Needed or Directed

Qualifications: 
- High School Diploma or GED equivalency
- Minimum of 1 year warehouse experience including order picking and shipping/receiving desired
- Previous material handling experience preferred
- Perform other assignments as requested
- Willing to participate in continual training and willing to assist in the training of other employees
- Willing and able to work in accordance with Lean methods and practices
- Ability to build relationships with internal and external customers, partners, and suppliers
- Work as a team player within the work cell and advise the supervisor of any problems with quality or safety
- Forklift qualified or trainable
- Able to lift up to 60lbs
