Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Accurately and efficiently cut, trim, and prepare a variety of meats according to established standards
- Operate and maintain cutting equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety
Adhere to hygiene and safety standards, including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Break down beef, pork, poultry, or other meat products into various cuts
- Weigh out portions for sale
- Wrap and package products for sale
- Grind meat products for sale as necessary
- Prepare sausages and cured meats
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following sanitation guidelines.
- Follow all safety guidelines
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Meat Butcher or similar role.
- Knowledge of various meat cuts, preparation techniques, and industry standards
- Ability to work in a refrigerated environment
- Strong attention to detail and precision in cutting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Understanding of and commitment to food safety and hygiene practices
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items
